Pip: Clocks, Coins & Rulers
In short
Pip: Clocks, Coins & Rulers is a learning game for children ages 6 to 8 (grades 1–2), made by Kidz Tales OÜ and published on Galaxy Store by “Legit” d.o.o. under license. In this policy, “we” means “Legit” d.o.o., the seller. The app sends us nothing about your child. The app asks for no name or email. If you type your child’s first name for a certificate, it stays on this device and is never sent anywhere. You can remove the name at any time by clearing the field. It never asks to use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photos. There are no ads and no game accounts, and we added no analytics or tracking tools. The one outside part is Samsung’s purchase software, described below.
The only connection outside the app: Galaxy Store
The app asks Galaxy Store on the device about the full game. When the app starts, and each time it comes back on screen, it asks whether this Samsung account already owns the full game, so a purchase that finished while the app was closed isn’t lost. When a purchase screen opens, it asks for the price. When someone taps Unlock (after the parent gate) or Restore purchase, it buys or restores the full game. Galaxy Store may go online for this.
The app tells Galaxy Store which product is meant. When it finds a purchase that isn’t confirmed yet, it also sends back the purchase number, to confirm the full game was delivered. It holds that number only in memory while it runs. From Samsung’s answers it reads only the result, the product, the purchase number, whether the purchase is confirmed, and the product’s price, title, and description. It tells Samsung nothing the app remembers about your child.
In Texas only, when the app starts, it reads one status from Galaxy Store on the device, for that state’s app store law. To know whether this applies, it reads two settings Galaxy Store keeps on the device. Galaxy Store’s answer also contains age details, which the app drops at once and never stores or sends. The app keeps only what the status says, in memory while it runs. It asks your child nothing and shows nothing for it.
Samsung’s purchase software is built into the app. What this software sends to Samsung is decided by Samsung, under Samsung’s privacy notice. Our Galaxy Store listing shows it as device or other identifiers.
The app’s package also contains a Google purchase library, from the code this edition shares with the others. This edition never starts it.
Your child’s progress, answers, daily schedule, and settings stay on this device. The only copy that can leave it is your device’s own backup, if you use one. We never see this data.
Payment details, such as your card, are handled by Samsung under Samsung’s privacy notice. We never see or keep them.
The game works without the internet. The purchase is remembered on the device, so the app works fully in airplane mode.
What we get from Samsung
Samsung handles the payment and tells “Legit” d.o.o., the seller, about sales. That comes from Samsung, not from the app, and it is about the purchase and the adult who paid, not about your child.
What is stored, and where
On the device itself, the app remembers your child’s progress: finished lessons, stars, right answers and mistakes by lesson, time spent in lessons, the stickers earned, what Pip wears, and the dates certificates were earned. It also keeps the settings a grown-up chooses, including when Pip naps, and how many lessons and minutes the current play session has had. If a grown-up sets them, it keeps the daily schedule (times for school, lunch, and bedtime) and your child’s first name for a certificate. It also notes small things that keep the game from repeating itself, such as whether a grown-up has seen the welcome page and which lesson was tried for free.
This data stays on the device until you erase it. The app sends it nowhere, and we never see it. It is deleted with the app, unless your device’s backup restores it. The parents’ area also has a button that erases the progress right away.
The app sends us nothing, so there is nothing from the app for us to store or delete. How long Samsung keeps what its software sends is set by Samsung, not by us.
Children
The app is made for children ages 6 to 8 (grades 1–2). There is no way to leave the app for a website or another app, and no one can contact a child through it. The app sends us no personal information about children. The only information that leaves the device is what Galaxy Store and Samsung’s purchase software send, described above.
There are no ads of any kind. Purchases are behind a parent gate. There are no buttons that lead to other apps, to social networks, or to the web.
Sound and microphone
Pip speaks but doesn’t listen. The voice is sentences recorded in advance and stored inside the app. The microphone is not used, and the app doesn’t ask for it.
Third parties
We added no tracking, analytics, or advertising tools, and no ad networks. The only outside part is Samsung’s purchase software, which handles purchases made inside the app. The app tells it only what is described above, and nothing the app remembers about your child. We sell no data.
Your rights
The app sends us nothing, so we hold nothing from it to ask for, correct, or delete. Everything the app remembers stays on the device, or in your device’s own backup if you use one, under your control: the button in the parents’ area erases the progress, and uninstalling the app erases the rest from the device. Questions about your purchase, or about what Samsung’s software sends, go to Samsung, under Samsung’s privacy notice. You can write to us with any question (see Contact).
If you write to us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you. We add no one to a mailing list, we keep an email only as long as we need it to help you, and we delete it whenever you ask. Our mailbox is protected by two-step verification.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear here and on its web page, with a new date at the top. If we ever change what the app collects or sends, this policy will say so before the change reaches the app.
